Windermere is a huge body of water, over 11 miles long, containing an estimated 300,000 billion litres of water. The nearest reported spill was around 5km away, and 4 months prior to the swim event date.
As ever we continue with our testing programme, which is bespoke to our event.
All results have come back as excellent, and we will continue to monitor the water quality and update swimmers if there are any concerns raised.
